OK, this is cool. The Upper House, Hong Kong's newest luxury boutique hotel, has done away (finally!) with the crappy paper guides you find in pretty much every hotel room, from a Hampton Inn to the Peninsula.
Check out the new pics Trend Hunter has posted here: In-Room iPods at The Upper House.
On top of this, The Upper House has moved to become a completely paperless hotel. Check in? Done on a tablet PC in your room. Check out? Just leave. Makes things easier, faster and it's environmentally responsible (and don't worry, your bill is e-mailed to you that day).

Juice Box Cameras
I stumbled across a fun little product that I posted to TREND HUNTER a couple of days ago - Juice Box Cameras. They're actual cameras hidden inside rather gross sounding juice boxes.
While only manual versions (35 mm) are currently available, no doubt a digital camera version is not too far down the road. They are the work of a Japanese design firm. Who else would come up with European Supermarket Mania as a flavor?

Ethos Water Sucks
I think Ethos water is a ridiculous scam. I say this, by the way, while being a relatively loyal Starbucks customer (probably 5x a week) - but I just can't help but get really peeved.
Take a look at this article from TrendHunter.com: http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/charity-profiteering-the-ethos-water-scam. Jeremy Gutsche does a great job exposing this fraud. 5 cents a bottle as a donation when the bottle costs $4? Pass. Get bent, Ethos. I'm buying a $1 bottle (or drinking from the fountain) and donating to a real charity.
End rant.

DNA Radio
I wrote on Trend Hunter about how you can "listen" to the Human Genome thanks to DNA rainbow.
Here out the post here: http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dna-radio-human-genome-internet. 23.5 years will be required to air the whole thing...so lots of opportunity to check it out.

Memoir Productions
This is a pretty cool new venture out of Toronto. Not exactly super-techy in itself, but I've seen their equipment and it's pretty intense. A cool service.
